Rosedda “Rosie” Carter, 79, of St. Paul, Kansas died at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Prairie Mission Retirement Village at St. Paul, Kansas.
Mrs. Carter was born February 27, 1947 at Carthage, Missouri the daughter of Charles William and Edda S. Wiley Burge. Rosie was an account executive for FMI in Girard for 48 years. She was raised in Arcadia and graduated from Arcadia High School in the Class of 1965. She worked for FMI (Va.Co Hy) until retiring in 2014 for 48 years. She married Ray B. Carter on October 27, 1983 at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul, Kansas. Mr. Carter preceded her in death January 13, 2015. They lived in St. Paul most of their life. She enjoyed spending time with family, collecting angels and rose items. She enjoyed traveling and spending her time with Ray. She also enjoyed her nieces and nephews school activities. She was past board member of Osage Hill Country Club, member of St. Francis Catholic Church and St. Francis Altar Society. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Teresa (Jack) Kenndy of St. Paul, Jacquey Tabcum, Bill Buchanan, and Tanja Yoast all of Colorado, Melissa Monaghan of Texas, Mike (Coleen) Carter of St. Paul, Roy (Janis) Carter of St. Paul, Ed Carter of St. Paul, and Steve Kirk of St. Paul, and many great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, brother, Charles William Burge, grandparents, Clarence and Wildia Burge, Clarence Wiley, nephew, Kenny Threlfall, sister, Wildia Burge Threlfall, and sister, Elizabeth Buchanan and her husband Bill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul, Kansas with Father Daniel Vacca as the Celebrant. Rosary will be said at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday prior to the mass. Mrs. Carter will be cremated following the services with burial of the cremains at St. Francis Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the St. Francis Altar Society. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
