Dusty Allen Harryman, 50, of Pittsburg died Tuesday June 9th, 2026.
Dusty was born October 5th, 1975, in Girard, Kansas, the son of Kathy McCabe and Bernard Smith.
He grew up attending Arma schools where he was a 1994 graduate from Northeast High School.
He later continued his education at Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s in psychology and completed a master’s degree in drug and alcohol addiction counseling at Washburn University.
Dusty loved to fish, hunt, and be outdoors. He had a talent for building beautiful pieces out of wood. Dusty had a passion for helping others through drug and alcohol addiction counseling.
He was a very kind man and loving father who cared for others and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include a son, Conner Harryman, a mother Kathy McCabe, a father Bernard Smith, brothers Nikolas Nelson & Kris (Ashley) Nelson, two nephews Bob and Maddox Nelson, and many close family members and friends.
Dusty was preceded in death by his grandmother Reva Heitman and his uncle’s Kenny and Rick Harryman.
Mr. Harryman has been cremated.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, from 6:30-7:30 pm with Father Bob McElwee officiating at the Bedene Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Connor Harryman for future education.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.

Dusty’s passing is very sad, please accept our condolences. Many have fond memories of attending school with him, his sense of humor will be missed! My thoughts are with his family and friends, hopefully you’re surrounded by comfort.
My heart is broken. I adored this little boy and was around him constantly when he was a child. I thought he belonged to me half the time. And would have been so proud if he did. I’m sorry he has left this earth but I know his Nana was there to great him and I hope he finds happiness in Heaven. God Bless you Dusty. Ill always remember the little boy I loved so much.
