JOYCE F. STEPHENS

Joyce F. Stephens, 82, of Arcadia, Kansas died at 5:11 A.M. Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Via Christi Village at Pittsburg, Kansas.

Mrs. Stephens was born September 3, 1943 at Pittsburg, Kansas the daughter of Ray Doyle and Ethel Florence Davis Campbell. Joyce was retired from the Parsons Ammunition Plant. She was a lifelong Arcadia resident. She was raised in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School in the Class of 1960. She later attended Labette County Community College for several years. She married Robert Dewey Stephens in 1978. Mr. Stephens preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Susan (John) Kovacic of Pittsburg, a son, Scott Ball of Pittsburg, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Starr Nutter, two sisters, Susan Ball and Barbara Campbell, and three brothers, Donald, Melvin, and Johnnie Campbell.

Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with Rev. Mark Crist officiating. Burial will be at the Sheffield Cemetery at Arcadia, Kansas. Friends may call 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. Tuesday at the Bedene Chapel to sign the register book. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home 517 E.
