IVAN C. VOORHEES JR.

Ivan C. Voorhees Jr., 83, of Lamar, Missouri, formerly of Arma, Kansas, died at 10:41 P.M. Tuesday, September 28, 2026 at Truman Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Lamar, Missouri.

Mr. Voorhees was born September 30, 1942 at Lamar, Missouri the son of Ivan C. Voorhees Sr. and Zona Marie Waggoner. Ivan was a supervisor for Thorco Manufacturing Company in Lamar, Missouri. He was raised in Lamar, Missouri and graduated from Lamar High School in the Class of 1961. He married Denzil McCaslin on April 18, 2016 at Joplin, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Denzil of the home, two sons, Steven Voorhees and Kevin Voorhees, three step-sons, Kevin Divine, Scott Divine, and Anthony Divine, and one sister, Ima Jean Pierson of Lamar, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Wosel, and five sisters, Fay Storm, Ruby Rives, Rosalie Monroe, Frances McDaniel, and Dolly Toms.

Mr. Voorhees has been cremated according to his wishes. No services are planned. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangments are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 East Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas.
