Kathryn Lancellotti, 94, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Ft. Scott, Kansas died at 12:35 P.M. Monday, July 21, 2025 at Hoeger House at Olathe, Kansas.
Mrs. Lancellotti was born December 7, 1930 at Camp 50 the daughter of Joe and Cloinde Selle Palazzari. Kathryn was a retired school teacher at Eugene Ware Grade School in Ft. Scott, Kansas where she worked until retirement. She was raised at Camp 50 and graduated from Arma High School. She later attended Kansas State Teachers College, now Pittsburg State University, and received a degree in elementary education. She moved to Ft. Scott in 1963 and later moved to Olathe in June 2024 to be near family. She married John Lancellotti on May 12, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arma. Survivors include her husband John Lancellotti of Olathe, a son, Greg (Sandra) Lancellotti of Spring Hill, Kansas, a son-in-law, Richard Elliott of Haysville, Kansas, five grandchildren and their spouses, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cindy Elliott, and two sisters, Ann Dolanc and Josephine Timi.
Mrs. Lancellotti has been cremated according to her wishes. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday prior to the services at 11 A.M. Burial of the cremains will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories following the services. The family suggests memorials to the Miners Hall Museum at Franklin, Kansas. Donations may be sent to or left at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
